1.    Welcome and Introduction from Data Poverty APPG Chair

  • Darren Jones MP welcomed members of the Group and thanked them for their time.

 

2.    Election of Chair and Parliamentary Officers

  • Darren Jones MP then handed over the chairing of the meeting to Carol Monaghan MP, who moved to a vote to re-elect the Chair to his position. The parliamentarian attendees unanimously approved this motion.

  • Darren Jones MP moved to re-elect Lord Tim Clement-Jones as the group’s Treasurer. Parliamentarian attendees unanimously approved this motion.

  • Darren Jones MP then moved for a vote to elect all those listed as Officers. Parliamentarian attendees unanimously approved this motion.

  • Data Poverty APPG Officers are as follows:

    • Julie Elliott MP

    • Carol Monaghan MP

    • Siobhain McDonagh MP

    • Karen Bradley MP

 

3.    Update on 2022 finances and membership

  • Darren Jones MP then provided those present with an update on the Group’s finances and membership.

  • Data Poverty APPG members are as follows:

    • Glide

    • Nominet

    • Good Things Foundation

4.    Upcoming events and update to events programme

  • Darren Jones MP then gave those present an overview of the Group’s upcoming events, including a proposed event in Parliament in June on the Role of Government and Industry in Tackling Data Poverty, and a State of the Nation report launch in July.

 

5.    AOB

  • Darren Jones MP asked those present if they had any other business to discuss.

  • Darren Jones MP, upon no further business being raised, thanked those present before closing the meeting.
